One of the biggest mistakes beginner students make is attacking submissions from weak positions. Often, this will lead to them losing position, and in worst case scenario getting submitted themselves.
The problem with these ‘Hail Mary’ submissions is you often get false positives, and even see them work at a decent level of competition. This gives people the belief they should use these techniques as a primary method of attack, rather than focusing on building solid foundations.
